George Denholm Armour : A Life Illustrated
The British Sporting Art Trust and National Horse Racing Museum are grateful to have been loaned a collection of George Denholm Armour drawings and watercolours. This lifetime of work, dating from 1870s until the 1930s cover a period of economic and technoloical change in both Britain and the wider world.
Armour is regarded as one of the outstanding sporting artists of his time. No exhibition of his work could ignore his love of equestrian sports,His drawing reflect his passion for field sports and his keen eye for humour.
